About Northern Hearing Services, Inc.

Northern Hearing Services was established by Dr. Joyce Sexton, AuD in 1988 to help the people of Alaska hear better. Since that time Northern Hearing Services (NHS) has served people from all parts of the state via their two offices in Anchorage and Wasilla and rural outreach clinics located throughout Alaska. Initially Joyce worked independently – testing and fitting hearing aids herself. However, Joyce recoginzed that Alaska had many hearing healthcare needs being underserved. She has expanded Northern Hearing to meet those needs and many more. Now, Northern Hearing Services, not only evaluates hearing loss – fitting, repairing, evaluating, and selling hearing aids – but they also perform ABR tests and have been selected to be the audiologists for the Alaska Cochlear Implant Network.
